Writing after a month feels pretty good and bad at the same time. Good because I am back at it, and bad because I have so many things to write about that I cannot decide what to write first!
Recently I tried 3 products by Himalaya Herbals and I thought I must review them on the blog.
This post is about Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub. I am a regular scrub user since my work involves a lot of traveling and it takes a toll on my skin.
Therefore I use a scrub twice a week to exfoliate all the dirt that my skin attracts. My preference has always been herbal scrubs for some reason – I seem to trust them more. Last year I purchased herbal walnut scrub from Kashmir, which worked wonders on my skin. After the product got over, I went looking for an alternative and found Himalaya’s Walnut scrub
The product claims to exfoliate dead skin cells to remove impurities that routine cleansing cannot tackle. It contains Crab Apple, a soothing antiseptic and keratolytic agent that helps loosen dead skin fragments.
The key ingredients are as below:
- Crab Apple has antiseptic, cooling, soothing, nutritive and prevents skin cell degeneration and premature skin aging.
- Wheat Germ Oil, due to its high concentration of Vitamin E, along with proteins and natural antioxidants, is ideal for most skin types as it nourishes the skin and boosts the skin’s elasticity.
- The exfoliating micro-particles in Walnut Shell scrub away dirt, blackheads and dead skin cells.
I have been using this over the past few weeks. My face feels pretty fresh after using the scrub and my mom loves using it too. The product has thick texture with a lot of granules that ensure to grab all the dust off the face. The scrub smells divine – it almost makes me want to eat it. For some reason it smells like a cupcake!
The packaging is like other Himalaya products and contains 100 gms. It can be bought for just Rs 130/- which is really light on the pocket for something that fetches very nice results. I bought Himalaya Purifying Neem Scrub too – just to compare both and see which one works better for me. I like the walnut scrub better – for the smell and also probably since I love eating walnuts.
Who is it for?
People with normal to dry skin
How often can it be used?
2-3 times a week
It can be a part of one’s skin care ritual as it is a mild herbal product which is effective if used regularly.
