You know which mornings are awesome? The ones where a mail man comes and delivers something addressed to you. This time it was the ‘Signature Rakhi box’ by Floweraura! The website is primarily dedicated to delivering flowers across India (hence the name), but thought of doing something extra this Raksha Bandhan – which is amazing
Since my blog has a lot of International readers, here’s a bit of information about this festival. 🙂
Raksha Bandhan is an Indian festival where sisters tie a band on their brother’s wrist every year, requesting him to protect her throughout life – and she prays for his health & prosperity.
The box I received had 3 Rakhis – one was a chhota Bheem rakhi, another one had blinker lights on and was a cartoon band – appropriate for kids 🙂
Beneath this, separated by a thermocol partition was a lovely diamond studded Rakhi, sindoor for tikka and 9 delectable chocolates wrapped in pretty paper – which I’m finding very tough to not open.
My mom has strictly asked me to keep it as it is, so that it looks nice when I tie the Rakhi to my brother 😛
She’s not very appreciative of the various boxes and bags I keep receiving in my mail, but this one she loved! – So that’s a win. I also received a nice card and a 100 Rs. Discount coupon that can be redeemed on my next order from them.
The packaging is really cute, they send different boxes to different people – as per the customization of the box I guess. The website has a wide selection of Rakhis to choose from and the boxes are priced from Rs. 699/- onwards! Go check it out on www.floweraura.com – Thank you guys for coming out with these cute boxes of love! 🙂
Did you know Rakhi boxes like these existed? I didn’t, and I’m glad to come across them just in time!!
