Want to go to Goa? But have time and money constraints? Are you a Mumbaikar?
If the answers to all the above questions is yes, then I’ve got a solution for you! Not so far from Mumbai, there’s a place called Alibag.. It’s got the sun, sand, fish, booze and all that you need for a good weekend trip with family or friends.
I have never really been to the place for a stay.. but have visited it quite a few times for a one day trip after I discovered this little place called Bohemyan Blue Cafe in Alibag. It’s described as “an open garden cafe with wholesome fresh farm food and a personally curated design shop” I would say this description does little justice to the lovely restaurant that has an old world charm to it. Located in a bungalow in Alibag, this place is co-owned by Mr. Albert and his lovely wife, who are warm and hospitable people – always welcoming you with a smile.
The ambiance of this place is amazing, be it the music or the cute pieces of cane & wooden furniture around or the innovative use of sewing machines as tables! In all the times we visited this place, Mr. Albert took special care of us. His wife was kind enough to guide us around their menu and suggest what to try from their home style delicacies.
