This post is about my dinner experience at Sahib Room & Kipling Bar, Palladium Hotel, Mumbai.
I’ve previously been to their multicuisine restaurant Seven kitchens and fell in love with their buffet spread. So when I saw that Sahib room had an even higher rating on Zomato, it had to be special. I’m not very fond of Mughlai food, but every dish I tasted was very well made. Started with their delicious choosa shorba, that had tender pieces of tandoor grilled chicken and pine nuts. Their selection of breads were different, and we tried quite a few of them. The waiters were warm and attentive, especially one by the name of Nilesh – paid special attention to the preferences of each of us.
The starters and main course we’re delectable, especially all the mutton dishes – I don’t eat red meat, but I h heard praises for it. Personally I loved the prawn anari – king prawns made in a gravy of pomegranate. Was unexpectedly yummy!
For dessert, one can’t afford to miss out on the Kolkata meetha paan ice cream. It’s a must have, even if you take just a bite from someone else’s order – which is what I had to do, since I was too full from the royal meal
